Have you ever had to do your hair and you never had any hair products?
How are you going to have your hair stay in the stlye that you placed it in?
When you don't have hair creams that keeps your hair in place? And what do you put in your hair to keep it in place for the entire time that you are out and about? not too long ago, while we were having out 30 min break in school, A young lady Oana pulls out her Dyson hair wrap and plugs it in the electrical socket. From where I sat, my attension immiediately turns to her side of the class that is making a noise like a very powerful vacum cleaner. This sound felt like the air was being forced in not small line to the top of the ceiling. I quickly got out of my chair to inquire what this device was used for. When I got close to the table that Oana was sitting on, I could see a box that was looking quite mordern with all kinds of attachments in it. I could see the device that was making the noise in the ladies hand with her twirling it around her hair and it would make a few strands of hair curl. I watched her switch off the machine, i leaned forward. The loud noise of the device slowly un-wond to a stop, then a silence. I asked her Oana, who is a Romanian middle aged lady, how long does the curl in the hair last? The few students that sat around the table blurted out "this will not last long at all". Apparently by the end of the night, all the curls will disappear. Another student said if she used the machine with her long hair, it will not even last the night, because her hair is long and heavy.
I was shocked to hear that... I blurted out that is not long at all. To my right, a young lady explained, their mothers would put beer in their hair, and that would surely make it last all night. I said what?... So is that what your mothers would do when they wanted to go out and have a good time... I asked with a bit of a giggle, would your hair not smell like beer? one of the young ladies said wil a smirk on her face "if girls are going out to have a good time, everyone smells like beer at the end of that night'. We all laughed. Apparently, some of the other thing the eastern european ladies would put in their hair was sugar water. Yes! You mix a cup of water and suger, put that in your hair, and there would be not smell, you would look good and your hair would stay all night long as you rock and party away.
On the market today there are many alternatives to have your hair hold all night if you are still partying. You have spays, gels and creams that have all the chemicals to keep your hair held in the position your intended it to be. But this has made me curious... I mean if you had go out to a party, and you had nothing in your tool kit that the mordern world had to offer, would you sacrife a half pint of beer or a table spoon of suger to look pretty?
